That rough old battleship had seen it all
Yet thousands of hits hadn’t made her fall
Nothing had forced her down on her knees
In the battle she did what ever she pleased
 
The battle went on and her outside got rough
Everyone thought she was cold and tough
If she really was that hard and lived for fighting
Why was her poor heart so in need of loving
 
                She was a battleship for a very long time
                But the endless wars faded all her shine
                Now it is time for her sails to be set
                It is time for that old girl to go ahead
 
What the battles could never ever get her to do
The love growing inside finally put her through
Drop your guns, let all the fighting be over now
Your loving heart is ready to take the eternal vow 
 
Let the winds of the life blow freely on you
Let the gentle waves take you where you belong to
Let the storms arise all around your free soul
They are the real teacher and a way to your goal.
